| MRA activities of the European Commission |

The European Commission endeavours to support and facilitate international trade in its relations with third countries.
For products subject to legal regulations this is achieved - among others - by the conclusion of mutual recognition arrangements
based on Article 133 of the Contract. Mutual recognition arrangements are established between the European Commission and the governments of those third countries which have a comparable technical state of development and a compatible approach to conformity assessment.
