The DAR Handbook describes basic rules for accreditations granted within the DAR till 31 December 2009.
Changes to the DAR Handbook will no longer be made.

The System Description documents structure and operation of the German accreditation system as well as competences and operation of the German Accreditation Council (DAR).

Its aims is to represent the German accreditation system in a transparent way and thus facilitating a comparison with other national accreditation systems.

The present description as well as the Annexes to the Handbook include all essential functions, tasks, resolutions and arrangements/regulations of the German Accreditation Council.

The System Description is subject to a half-yearly update by the DAR Secretariat and to an amendment service (Chapter Amendment Service).
