Handbook of DAR - 6. Central German Register of Accreditations and Recognitions
4th Edition As of 31 December 2009
The DAR runs a central register of accredited bodies pursuant to the accreditation bodies' notifications to the DAR Secretariat.

The notifying accreditation body commits itself to complying at any time with the relevant national and international standards and the DAR Rules and Procedures for accreditation bodies in the field concerned (laboratory, inspection, and certification). It also commits the accredited body to complying with the valid national and international standards.

The compliance is checked pursuant to Chapter 7 prior to the first inclusion of new registrations in the DAR database and also thereafter.

The accreditation bodies using the DAR regalia (see 4.5) are obliged to transfer all necessary information to the DAR Secretariat.

A description of the accreditation bodies operating under the aegis of the DAR is provided on DAR's Homepage at (www.deutscher-akkreditierungsrat.org).
